📍In the current digital age, encouraging students to be readers becomes more important than ever. Reading is a fundamental skill that will benefit students beyond the classroom. In this month’s edition of LYIS – The Digital Magazine from Leading Your International School, Jack Muir ponders how educators can help nurture a culture of reading and give students long-term skills. 

📍In his article, Jack Muir – University Counsellor, The International School of Penang argues that “students lose interest in so-called best books, not because they are bad, but because they are not targeted [for students]”. In order to curb this problem, he recommends helping students find books that suit their favourite genres, so that they can become excited about reading.
